Chapter 70: Alice
In the Swallowing Star universe, inside a standalone villa by the West Lake, Wang Kun’s figure flickered as he returned to this world. Glancing at the attribute points he’d gained from the latest copy world, Wang Kun’s eyes lit up with delight.
“Five thousand attribute points—that’s quite the haul.”
Without hesitation, he allocated all these points directly to his personal talent attributes. Instantly, his talent value soared to five thousand. He was now only halfway from reaching the next tier of talent.
“I hope these newly added talent points will give me a boost, letting me cultivate faster.”
Though twenty years had passed, the Swallowing Star universe remained unchanged, exactly as it had been when he left. The protagonist, Luo Feng, was still in the elite training camp of the Extreme Martial Arts Gym. Wang Kun no longer paid much attention to Luo Feng, for he had already reaped all possible benefits from Earth, and now possessed the power to integrate into the cosmos. Even the Inky Star legacy, which originally belonged to Luo Feng, had been copied by Wang Kun.
Given this, he had no intention of interfering with Luo Feng’s future adventures. For him, quietly passing time in the Swallowing Star universe, then accumulating cultivation hours in copy worlds, was the true path.
Thus, after returning, Wang Kun carried on as usual: he sent several newly recruited beautiful death warriors for simple combat training in the wild, and spent the rest of his time cultivating.
Before long, the cooldown for traversing worlds ended, and Wang Kun once again opened a new copy world.
A whirl of space and time, and Wang Kun’s figure appeared in a desolate desert. In his mind, the basic information about this world swiftly surfaced.
“Resident Evil?”
“Judging by the devastated, barren surroundings, this must be after the full outbreak of the virus.”
From afar, Wang Kun could see the ruins of buildings and road markers. He even spotted several slow-moving, grotesque zombies.
With this in mind, Wang Kun immediately summoned his Black Dragon spacecraft. A black, disc-shaped vessel appeared amidst the wasteland.
He entered the ship’s cabin, launched it, soared several thousand meters into the sky, and activated its stealth mode.
Thanks to the Black Dragon’s technology, the Umbrella Corporation in this world would never detect the ship’s presence.
This allowed Wang Kun to cultivate in peace within the ship’s training chamber. But before he began, he needed to assign tasks to his beautiful death warriors.
Given the technological backdrop, Wang Kun dispatched only those warriors who hailed from modern worlds. The others he left to their own cultivation.
With the strength of his warriors, any task would be completed with ease.
“You—scatter and search this continent for survivors. The priority is to find a survivor named Alice. Notify me immediately once you do.”
“Yes, Master!”
The warriors received their orders and swiftly flew out from the ship’s hatch.
Meanwhile, several hundred kilometers from the Black Dragon, a road nearly buried by sand stretched across the wasteland.
A motorcycle sped along the path. Soon, it stopped in front of an abandoned building.
A weathered woman dismounted and cautiously approached the derelict structure.
This woman was the heroine of the world, the clone Alice.
Moments later, as Alice carefully entered the building, she saw a diminutive silhouette.
Turning, she found herself facing a short, ugly woman who pleaded, “Please, save my child!”
The woman pressed the bundled ‘child’ into Alice’s arms. Alice didn’t refuse. Yet, as she glanced down at the ‘child,’ the short woman abruptly pulled a gun on her.
Hidden accomplices emerged from the shadows, weapons trained on Alice.
“Oh, you dropped my child on the ground. That’s not right.”
“Ha, this trick really works! This time we caught a woman.”
“Mom, let me handle her!” a young woman said to the ugly matriarch, feigning the act of undoing her pants.
But her target was not an ordinary woman—it was Alice, transformed by the T-virus.
Alice seized her chance, delivering a swift kick to the man’s jaw. Blood sprayed as he collapsed.
“Damn you, you killed him!” The ugly matriarch, enraged, smashed Alice on the head with her gun butt, knocking her out cold.
Who knows how much time passed. When Alice awoke, she found herself in a room surrounded by iron bars.
Overhead, the ugly woman and her gang looked down gleefully at their captive.
“Open the cage!” the ugly woman commanded. A man beside her began manipulating controls.
A moment later, several zombie dogs were released from their cages, snarling and lunging at Alice.
Just then, a black shadow appeared in the room. A strange wave spread throughout the space.
In an instant, everyone except Alice—all the humans, zombies, and zombie dogs—lost their breath.
Meanwhile, aboard the distant ship, Wang Kun received Haiyao’s report.
“Master, the target has been found.”
Upon receiving the news, Wang Kun opened his eyes, sensed Haiyao’s location, and teleported beside her.
He gazed at the bedraggled Alice below, and in his mind, the death warrior card reacted.
“It seems Alice has killed quite a few people.” Since Alice met the requirements for the card, Wang Kun wasted no time. As Alice stood dazed, he used a death warrior card.
A mysterious force penetrated deep into Alice’s soul, and she immediately bowed to Wang Kun, addressing him respectfully in English, “Master!”
“Haiyao, Alice is yours to instruct.”
“Yes, Master!”
With a final command to Haiyao, Wang Kun vanished.
