These women—thieves from the original plot—had just received a summons from their former leader, Cat, and were preparing to help her steal a newly developed antivirus software from a tech company.

One of the original thieves, Luo Ziyang, was planning to use Cat, who had left her criminal past behind, as an inside agent to steal the company’s research. After going straight, Cat had found work as the secretary to the CEO of this very tech firm, making her one of the few with access to the company’s core secrets.

Luo Ziyang exploited Cat’s position and orchestrated her reluctant return to crime, forcing her to steal the company’s research.

Meanwhile, Cat’s former crew, responding to her call after two years apart, gathered once more to pull off the heist.

On the other side, as soon as these women had all come together, one of Wang Kun’s beautiful deathsworn promptly reported back to him.

The next moment, Wang Kun instantly teleported to a spot near the building and, through a window, caught sight of the group inside.

“Only two of them meet the criteria for the Deathsworn Card? Who would have thought these female thieves would turn out to be so righteous?”

Though Wang Kun was a little dissatisfied with the outcome, he had no choice but to use the Deathsworn Card on the two among the group who met the requirements.

Immediately, Octopus and Spider were captured.

She exchanged a look with Spider on the other side, as if everything was understood without words.

Spider was one of the mixed-race members of the group, her figure that of a model and her looks cold and striking. Given her nickname, it was clear that there was a particularly dark side to her nature.

According to Wang Kun’s orders, the two remained in the team to interfere with and alter the original storyline.

Since this world was just an ordinary city, after gaining two deathsworn subordinates, Wang Kun lost further interest in the ongoing events. He simply instructed Ding Yao, the femme fatale, to assist Octopus and Spider in carrying out the simple task.

A day later, after making her preparations, Octopus placed a videotape in front of Cat.

“Cat, you need to watch this.”

The person at the center of the footage was Cat’s former lover—the very thief now orchestrating the plan for Cat to steal the data, Luo Ziyang. The contents were simple: Luo Ziyang discussing the matter with the company’s representatives.

“Luo Ziyang, your girlfriend has already started the operation. Let’s hope she doesn’t let us down.”

“Don’t worry, I know her abilities better than anyone. She’ll get the job done, just don’t forget to pay me when it’s done.”

On the tape, Luo Ziyang showed not the slightest sign of being coerced. He was chatting and laughing with the group as if they were old friends.

“A stranger handed it to Spider this morning. We don’t know who it was.”
