Chapter 20: To Youth, Su Yunjin
On July 16th, in the Moonlit Garden residential area, third floor of the villa, Wang Kun’s bedroom.
Once everything was ready, Wang Kun communicated with the system and entered a new world to earn attribute points. After a dizzying shift in space and time, Wang Kun, dressed in casual clothes and carrying an outdoor backpack, found himself in a bedroom. At the same time, a stream of new memories surfaced in his mind.
Through these memories, and the information displayed by the system after the crossing, Wang Kun quickly understood the kind of world he had arrived in.
“So this is what ‘To Youth’ looks like!” Wang Kun stared at the system’s display, feeling a surge of annoyance. It wasn’t that this world was particularly bad, but he remembered that before his crossing, the world’s male lead, Pretentious Fan, had ended up picking up soap in prison.
“Well, whatever! With my abilities, no one in a city like this can act tough in front of me.” Wang Kun shrugged off his doubts. In this world, his real body had crossed over. The system assigned him the identity of a senior high school transfer student at a prestigious school in the metropolis. His parents had recently died in an accident, leaving him a considerable inheritance—he was a textbook orphaned rich second generation.
He now lived in a well-furnished two-bedroom apartment near the school. Today was his first day reporting to the new school. Checking the time, Wang Kun quickly collected his thoughts, tossed his backpack aside, changed into casual clothes, and left the residential area, heading for the school as he remembered.
After walking for about ten minutes, Wang Kun arrived at the school gate. Glancing around, he soon spotted a radiant figure—a girl with a pure appearance, dressed in a school uniform, pulling a suitcase. Though Wang Kun was still some distance away, his vision, several times sharper than ordinary people’s, allowed him to see her features clearly.
“It really is eighteen-year-old Feifei!” Wang Kun thought to himself. Before crossing, Feifei had been his favorite female celebrity, a star whose debut was her peak.
Seeing her, Wang Kun immediately strode toward the pure girl in the school uniform. The system hadn’t given him any specific tasks in this world, but to gain attribute points, he had to disrupt the original storyline. The number of attribute points he could gain depended on how much he disturbed the plot.
In the previous world, Wang Kun had been focused on becoming a martial artist, so he simply spent money to disrupt the story as much as possible. The plot of this world was far simpler—everything revolved around the female and male leads.
The heroine, Su Yunjin, needed no further explanation. Since fate had brought Wang Kun here, he was determined to win her over. As for Pretentious Fan, the male lead, killing him would be as easy as squashing an ant, given Wang Kun’s current abilities.
Soon, Wang Kun’s tall figure arrived beside Su Yunjin.
“Hello, I’m Wang Kun, the new transfer student,” he said. “Judging by your appearance, you must be new to this school too.”
Su Yunjin, dressed in her school uniform and pulling her suitcase, glanced at the suddenly appearing Wang Kun, then quickly looked away, shyly avoiding his gaze.
“Yes,” Su Yunjin replied briefly.
Wang Kun smiled, not minding her reaction. “I still don’t know your name.”
“Su Yunjin.”
“Alright, Su Yunjin, let’s go report to school together.” With that, Wang Kun walked toward the school.
As soon as they passed through the gate, Wang Kun’s tall and handsome appearance immediately attracted plenty of attention.
“Wow! Which class is that handsome guy in? He’s so good-looking!”
“Yeah! I’ve never seen him before!”
“Could he be a new transfer student?”
“I think so!”
A few minutes later, as Wang Kun continued to chat and break the ice, he and Su Yunjin arrived outside a teaching building. At that moment, a sharp roar echoed across the campus.
Wang Kun turned and saw a black motorcycle speeding toward the teaching building where he and Su Yunjin stood.
“If nothing goes wrong, that should be Cheng Zheng, played by Pretentious Fan, the male lead,” Wang Kun mused.
While Wang Kun pondered, the rider, Cheng Zheng, swept past him at high speed.
Suddenly, the speeding motorcycle cracked a nearby water pipe. A jet of water shot out, splashing toward Wang Kun and Su Yunjin.
Seeing this unfold, Wang Kun spun beautifully, wrapped his arms around Su Yunjin, and used his tall frame to shield her from the spray. At the same time, his telekinetic power surged forth—an immense force flung the decelerating motorcycle into the air.
With a thunderous crash, the black motorcycle slammed into the wall of the teaching building. Its front end was instantly destroyed. Cheng Zheng, the rider, collided heavily with the wall and then fell to the ground, his fate unknown.
The sudden accident startled the surrounding students.
“That’s Cheng Zheng’s motorcycle!”
“Quick, call the police, get an ambulance!”
Several students who knew Cheng Zheng rushed forward, taking out their phones to call for help.
Meanwhile, Su Yunjin, still held in Wang Kun’s embrace, blushed deeply, unsure how to react.
“Racing in school—asking for trouble!” Wang Kun sneered inwardly, looking at the distant, lifeless Cheng Zheng. He also sensed the change in Su Yunjin beside him. Though he was reluctant, he let her go.
“Are you alright?”
“Yes, I’m fine.”
“Then let’s go report in. I originally wanted to settle accounts with that guy, but since he’s had an accident, I’ll let him off for now.”
Su Yunjin said nothing more—she had witnessed everything. She knew that without Wang Kun shielding her, she would have been drenched. Her gratitude toward Wang Kun soared.
Minutes later, Wang Kun and Su Yunjin arrived at the school office, filled out their forms, and Wang Kun accompanied Su Yunjin to complete her dormitory registration.
After more than an hour of busy formalities, both changed into their school uniforms and entered the classroom.
“Alright, quiet down. These two are new transfer students for this semester,” the teacher announced. “Please introduce yourselves.”
“I’m Su Yunjin, a new transfer student,” Su Yunjin said weakly.
“Wang Kun.”
“Wow, amazing! I can’t believe this handsome guy is in our class!” The girls in the classroom whispered excitedly.
There were several empty seats in the room. Two were newly assigned to Su Yunjin and Wang Kun. The other two belonged to Cheng Zheng, who had just been in an accident, and his childhood friend Meng Xue.
Meng Xue, who had always liked Cheng Zheng, rushed to the hospital as soon as she learned of his accident.
None of this mattered to Wang Kun now. What concerned him was only Su Yunjin by his side—eighteen-year-old Feifei.
