Chapter 128: Surviving the Catastrophe, Part One
An hour later, the eastern sky began to pale, and the darkness within the Realm within Realm gradually thinned. After an entire night of torrential rain, furious winds, and wave after wave of dull thunder, the elements finally seemed exhausted. Their relentless assault had begun to weaken little by little.
As the hostile environment slowly turned for the better, the nerves everyone had kept taut throughout the night gradually relaxed as well.
Another quarter of an hour passed, and daylight fully arrived. The thunder ceased, the wind died down, and the torrential rain stopped. The floodwaters within the Realm within Realm, however, had yet to recede.
By then, the entire Realm within Realm had become a vast sea. Only a scant few mountain peaks remained above the surface, each resembling a tiny island in the ocean.
The young men and women who had endured a night of torment finally began to let go of their dread. One after another, they withdrew the barriers formed by their laws.
“Ah! We can finally catch our breath. What a difficult night.”
“The weather gets worse with every passing night, and each day is harder to endure than the last. Only three days have passed in this month, yet when will this nightmare finally end?”
“Fortunately, we encountered Young Master and the others tonight. Otherwise, I truly have no idea what might have happened to us.”

After dawn, all sorts of thoughts filled everyone’s minds. Yet the terror of the previous night still lingered, leaving every one of them shaken.
While the tens of thousands of young men and women around Li Hao were lost in thought, Zhen Ba, Kui Hu, Li Zhan, Qin Zhen, Lin Xueyou, Lu Yao, and Ling Guanghan all flew down from Xiao Jiu’s back. A flash of law-light swept across Xiao Jiu’s body, and she instantly transformed into human form before following Lin Xueyou and the others to Li Hao’s side.
“Brother Li Hao, are you all right?”
“Little Brother Li Hao, how are you?”
“Young Master, are you hurt?”
“…”
Worried expressions, anxious voices, and words of concern surrounded Li Hao from every side. Seeing their concern and hearing their worried questions, warmth filled his heart. He gave them all a reassuring smile and said,
“Sister Xueyou, Little Sister Yao’er, and all of you brothers, thank you for worrying about me. I’m fine!”
Looking at Li Hao, Lin Xueyou scolded him in a tone tinged with annoyance:
“Just look at you! You only know how to worry about others and care for everyone else. Do you ever think about yourself?”
“She’s right. Sister Xueyou is absolutely right.”
“Exactly!”
“Exactly!”

Li Hao’s friends chimed in one after another.
A little embarrassed, Li Hao scratched his head and replied,
“But nothing happened to me, did it? Look at me. Don’t I seem perfectly fine?”
As he spoke, Li Hao twisted his body around and deliberately demonstrated that he was unharmed.
Watching his lively and adorable antics, the little witch in Lin Xueyou seemed to awaken. The corners of her lips curled upward into a flawless smile—but there was something mischievous about it.
The instant Li Hao noticed her wicked grin, he instinctively covered his little backside with both hands. The motion was so adorable that it was almost comical.

At that moment, the young men and women who had narrowly escaped disaster within the Realm within Realm finally set aside their fear. Their eyes all turned toward Li Hao and the others, while their thoughts became a complete muddle. Seeing Li Hao and the others speaking, everyone reached a perfect understanding and refrained from interrupting their brief reunion.
When Li Hao saw Lin Xueyou’s mischievous smile, he was reminded of Lu Xuemei. Whenever Lu Xuemei wore that expression, she would wait until he was off guard before planting a hard kick against his pitiful little backside and giving it a vigorous rub.
Strangely enough, Lin Xueyou had done exactly the same thing to him yesterday.
That was why he had reacted so dramatically. Everyone found Li Hao’s sudden movement utterly inexplicable. Under their strange and puzzled stares, Li Hao grew embarrassed and slowly lowered his hands from his backside.
Before withdrawing them completely, he even rubbed his backside a couple of times, deliberately trying to conceal his embarrassment.
The moment his hands moved away, Lin Xueyou’s exquisite jade-like foot landed squarely against his backside.
With a single kick, she sent Li Hao tumbling through the air. As she struck him, a trace of the power of the Law of Restraint accompanied her foot.
Deprived of the ability to use the laws of Heaven and Earth to steady himself, Li Hao could only leave his fate to chance as he fell toward the vast sea below.
Just as he began to descend, Lin Xueyou gave Zhen Ba and the others a meaningful glance. They immediately understood and chased after Li Hao.
The young men and women below watched in bewilderment, unable to understand why their benefactor had been attacked. The girls directed resentful looks at Qing’er, assuming that Li Hao had shown her special favor and that Lin Xueyou had grown jealous, prompting her to kick him.
The boys, meanwhile, decided that Li Hao was the sort of man ruled completely by his wife—someone who dared to show off outside but became a spineless coward the moment he returned home.
While everyone’s thoughts ran wild, they noticed five more young men chasing after Li Hao and became even more confused. Just as they were utterly unable to make sense of the situation, Zhen Ba, Kui Hu, Li Zhan, Qin Zhen, and Xiao Jiu simultaneously invoked the laws of Heaven and Earth, catching Li Hao’s body.
Everyone assumed the five had come to rescue him. No one expected them to use the laws of Heaven and Earth to catch Li Hao, hurl him upward, and then do it again and again without the slightest intention of stopping.
Lin Xueyou looked at Ling Guanghan, who stood beside her with a foolish grin, and called out,
“Big Brother Ling, get in there! An opportunity like this is hard to come by. I went to great lengths to arrange it, so hurry up!”
Hearing her words, Ling Guanghan joined in as well. Lin Xueyou clapped her pearly hands and cheered,
“Good! Good! Good!”
She also gave Lu Yao and Qing’er a meaningful look. The two clever girls immediately understood what she meant and began clapping and cheering along with her.
Only then did everyone finally realize what was happening: they were simply playing around. Seeing how close Li Hao and his companions were, everyone felt intensely envious and wished to draw closer to Li Hao as well.
After clapping for a while, Lin Xueyou looked down at the tens of thousands of young men and women below and shouted,
“Brothers down there, shouldn’t you show our Young Master Li Hao a little appreciation?”
“Ho! Ho! Ho!”
The crowd seemed to awaken from a dream. Excited cheers thundered through the sky, and one boy after another joined the fun.
In the space of a few breaths, Li Hao had become everyone’s target. He could do nothing but let them toss him around, inwardly crying out in despair.
The girls laughed so brightly that they seemed to sway like flowers in the breeze. Having survived the catastrophe, they had never been so happy—or so excited—before.
Lin Xueyou called out to all the girls once more:
“Sisters, come over here!”
When everyone saw the girls suddenly gathering together, they had no idea what the women intended to do. Though puzzled, they cared about nothing but Li Hao at that moment and had long since pushed the beautiful girls from their minds.
The boys’ deafening cheers drowned out whatever Lin Xueyou and the others were discussing.
After summoning all the girls together, Lin Xueyou said,
“Sisters, their performance is over. Shall we give Young Master an unexpected surprise?”
“Yes!”
“Yes!”
“Yes!”

Hearing the unanimous response, Lin Xueyou excitedly clapped her hands and shouted,
“Good!”
Just as everyone had joined Kui Hu and the others, and the cheers were rising wave after wave, Lin Xueyou gathered the laws of Heaven and Earth into her voice and shouted down at the boys,
“All you men, get out of this young lady’s way!”
The moment she finished speaking, she called to the girls beside her,
“Go!”
Then she led all the girls forward in a great surge.
Carrying the laws of Heaven and Earth, Lin Xueyou opened a gigantic law barrier and charged straight into the center of the boys’ ranks. At that moment, she looked valiant and spirited, proving that women could be every bit as formidable as men.
The instant Lin Xueyou entered the fray, the boys were flung away by the force of her laws. Those closest to her were blasted backward in every direction, scattering like fallen autumn leaves.
Once Lin Xueyou had cleared a space a thousand yards in diameter, the mighty group of girls rushed into the area around her. They successfully forced all the boys aside.
Li Hao fell once more, and Lin Xueyou was the first to invoke the laws of Heaven and Earth, catch him, and hurl him high into the sky.
The boys showed not the slightest trace of displeasure. Instead, they were filled with boundless delight.
“Good! Good! Good!…”
Now it was the boys who clapped and cheered from the surrounding area.
By then, these young men and women had long since cast aside all their misunderstandings about Li Hao and Lin Xueyou. Every chaotic and negative emotion in their hearts had been replaced by the happiness of the moment.
As the girls took turns tossing Li Hao about like a shuttlecock, Lin Xueyou withdrew from the fray with Lu Yao.
While the girls continued playing with Li Hao, his handsome face repeatedly fell within their line of sight. None of them wanted to look away. Their eyes gleamed with undisguised greed, and each girl fought to catch one more glimpse of him. The competition grew increasingly fierce.
At one point, a young girl shouted,
“He’s mine!”
That declaration set off an unstoppable chorus.
“He’s mine!”
“He’s mine!”
“Mine!”

The cries rose wave after wave, each more impassioned than the last.
Li Hao had only one thought in his mind:
“Run! Quickly! They’re far more terrifying than any enemy!”
While Li Hao wailed inwardly, the girls became more mischievous than the last. They even deliberately used the laws of Heaven and Earth to seal away his strength. Each of them gave it her all, imprisoning Li Hao’s power again and again.
A whole group of lively young girls played with Li Hao to their hearts’ content.
As they fought over him, Lin Xueyou called Zhen Ba, Kui Hu, Li Zhan, Qin Zhen, Ling Guanghan, and Xiao Jiu over one by one.
Everyone was curious about what Lin Xueyou intended to do. Qin Zhen was the least patient of them all, and he voiced the question in everyone’s heart:
“Sister Xueyou, what do you need us to do?”
