After bathing, Wei Xueying had just dried herself off when she seemed to hear her phone ringing in the bedroom. Without even bothering to wrap herself in a towel, she hurriedly dashed from the bathroom to retrieve her phone.
At that very moment, Hua Tianyu opened the balcony door and stepped into Wei Xueying's bedroom.
A gasp escaped him.
The sight was overwhelming—her fair skin gleamed like jade, breathtakingly beautiful.
Hua Tianyu drew in a sharp breath, and he could faintly detect the fragrance of a young woman lingering in the air.
No wonder she was known as the Goddess of Shangjiang!
Beyond that exquisite face and icy aura, her figure could rival any woman even in the land of the eagles. Her usual business attire hinted at her elegance, but Hua Tianyu realized he had only glimpsed the tip of the iceberg.
He resolved that, upon arriving at the company later, he would suggest to Wei Xueying that female employees should no longer be required to wear business suits. Such uniforms did nothing but stifle the beauty of modern women and conceal their splendid figures.
Liberate the new women, starting with the CEO!
But at that moment, amidst Wei Xueying’s screams and furious shouts, Hua Tianyu deftly pulled out a face mask and handed it to her.
Yes, a face mask!
Wei Xueying paused, instinctively shielding her chest with her arms. Even her angry cries faded as she looked at the mask in confusion.
“Cover your face! So I won’t recognize you!” Hua Tianyu said in a deep voice.
“Go to hell!”
Wei Xueying finally snapped out of her initial panic. She snatched her nightgown from beside the bed, hurriedly covering herself, and rushed back to the bathroom in a fluster.
“You only grabbed your top, not your pants. I’ll bring them to you in a moment,” Hua Tianyu commented casually.
Wei Xueying froze in her tracks, nearly stumbling over her own clothes. She stood motionless for several seconds. Turning back to get her pants would risk being seen again, but not retrieving them left her with only the nightgown.
Yet, she quickly came to her senses.
“Get out! Get out of my bedroom, now!”
With clarity restored, Wei Xueying finally made the wisest choice. She had been so flustered just moments ago that her mind was blank, swept along by Hua Tianyu’s pace.
Now, a little calmer, Wei Xueying revealed the decisiveness befitting an icy CEO. By driving Hua Tianyu out of the room, every problem was solved and all embarrassment eliminated.
Hua Tianyu pondered for a couple of seconds. “Alright, since you’re not dressed, you’re the boss! I’ll leave the mask on your bed.”
Wei Xueying was speechless.
After Hua Tianyu left the bedroom, Wei Xueying stood dazed before the bathroom mirror. Her skin was exposed to the air, her hands covering only a small part, with most of her body laid bare before her own eyes.
Her cheeks burned as if they were on fire, the memory of what had just happened keeping her face flushed with shame.
Normally, she would wrap herself in a bathrobe before leaving the bathroom. Today, with no one else at home, she relaxed a bit. The phone ringing outside distracted her, and she rushed out without thinking.
She never expected that such a rare lapse would result in Hua Tianyu seeing everything!
What puzzled her most was how Hua Tianyu ended up in her bedroom. Wasn’t he supposed to be out buying breakfast at her request? He had already accidentally hugged her twice before; now he had seen her completely. This Hua Tianyu...
At that moment, she genuinely hated him to the core!
Meanwhile, the object of Wei Xueying’s wrath, Hua Tianyu, had wiped off his nosebleed and was lounging leisurely on the sofa in the living room, waiting for her. The breakfast he had just bought was set on the coffee table.
A full twenty minutes later, Wei Xueying emerged from her bedroom, her face cold as she descended the stairs to the living room. Yet the flush on her cheeks betrayed her inner turmoil, far from the calm façade she presented.
Standing before Hua Tianyu, Wei Xueying remained silent for a long moment. Her heavy breathing echoed throughout the living room.
“Good morning, Xueying!” Hua Tianyu said cheerfully, handing her one of the two breakfasts and starting on the other himself.
Wei Xueying couldn’t believe how carefree he was, calmly eating breakfast after what had just transpired.
She glared at him, wishing she could rip a chunk of flesh from his body, her mind racing with ways to deal with Hua Tianyu.
Ignoring the breakfast he offered, Wei Xueying demanded, enunciating each word, “How did you get in?”
Hua Tianyu pointed toward her bedroom. “The balcony.”
“Who told you to come in?” she asked through gritted teeth.
“I bought breakfast, rang the bell, and got no answer. I called, but you didn’t pick up. I thought something had happened, so I came in through the balcony to check.” Hua Tianyu’s explanation was entirely straightforward.
Wei Xueying thought it over, her expression finally softening. The call on her phone had indeed been from Hua Tianyu. It seemed he had entered out of concern, unintentionally stumbling into her room.
Although a touch of warmth rose in her heart, no matter the reason, he had seen her fully—an offense she could not forgive.
“Hua Tianyu, you tell me, what are we going to do about what happened today?” Wei Xueying’s mind turned over countless possibilities, but even her cleverness could not find a solution.
Reporting him would be pointless; Hua Tianyu hadn’t acted intentionally, and afterwards, he hadn’t behaved inappropriately. Letting it go felt like betraying herself.
Unable to come up with anything, she simply tossed the problem back to Hua Tianyu.
Hua Tianyu pondered for a couple of seconds. “How about... I let you see me back?”
See him back?
Wei Xueying felt a surge of anger. That scoundrel hadn’t had enough after seeing her—now he wanted her to see him?
What a lecher!
What was he thinking?
“First, my eyesight isn’t great—I didn’t see a thing! Second, it wasn’t intentional. Third, you don’t want to see me back, so today’s incident will have to be left unresolved,” Hua Tianyu finished his breakfast, stood up from the sofa, and strolled toward the door.
“But I keep my word. If you feel I owe you, you’re welcome to see me anytime!” he called back as he walked.
Anytime...
Wei Xueying nearly lost her composure. Unable to hold back, she grabbed the breakfast from the coffee table and hurled it at him, only to see Hua Tianyu catch it without even turning around.
“Wasting food is shameful!” Hua Tianyu remarked.
He pressed the unlock button on his Jaguar, opened the door, and said, “Miss Wei, please get in. I’ve put your breakfast in the car. I suggest you eat it—skipping breakfast will shrink your figure!”
Wei Xueying stumbled as she stepped outside.
He claimed he saw nothing?!
