Han Yan’s heart was filled with towering hatred, but the facts were laid bare before her. As an enforcer of the law, she could not fabricate evidence, a reality that left her seething with nowhere to vent her fury.

She took a deep breath, and her imposing aura deflated instantly.

"Call off the team! Have the tow trucks haul away all these modified motorcycles!" Han Yan said through gritted teeth.

Che Peiqing stared blankly at Hua Tianyu, thinking, *Is this really allowed? Did we just escape disaster?* Still, it pained him to see his motorcycle confiscated.

"Captain Han..." Che Peiqing tried to push his luck, hoping for some room for negotiation.

"Shut up!" Han Yan cut him off, refusing to grant him the opportunity.

Che Peiqing’s next words were choked back in his throat. *Why do you let Hua Tianyu speak but not me?* he grumbled inwardly.

Qiu Jinghao was filled with frustration. He had finally found a chance to set Hua Tianyu up, hoping to have him locked away for a few days so he might use that time to get closer to Wei Xueying. Yet, Hua Tianyu had defused the situation with just a couple of breezy sentences. As for the motorcycles being towed, what kind of punishment was that? He wanted Hua Tianyu to be the one dragged away! Unfortunately, it looked like Hua Tianyu was going to walk free today.

Han Yan swept her gaze over the crowd, her heart heavy with resentment. While confiscating so many illegal motorcycles might be considered a significant achievement for others, it was far from enough for her. Her goal had been to arrest the entire Chechi Club. To have finally cornered them only to find no legal grounds for an arrest was infuriating.

*Right, it’s this Hua Tianyu!* Han Yan’s eyes locked onto him again. *It’s him!*

"Kid! What’s your name? I’ve remembered you. Don’t ever cross my path again, or you’ll be in for a world of regret!"

Hua Tianyu pondered for two seconds, pulled out his phone, opened WeChat, and displayed his QR code. "Let’s add each other on WeChat, so you don't forget me later."

Han Yan: "..."

Che Peiqing gasped. *You can actually pull a stunt like that? You really have no shame, do you?*

Fan Fu looked on in disbelief, thinking, *Kid, are you actually trying to hit on our Team Leader Han? Don’t you know that dating 'Han Three-Fires' is practically a slur around here? You’ve really gone and signed your own death warrant!*

Han Yan sneered and swiped at the hand holding the phone, but Hua Tianyu dodged her touch with ease. Seeing that she failed to slap away that damned QR code, Han Yan said coldly, "Do you dare tell me your name?"

Hua Tianyu mused for a moment and replied, "A chance meeting is destined by fate. Miss, if we have the fortune to meet again, I’ll tell you my name then."

Han Yan gave a mocking laugh. "You’d better pray we don't meet again!"

With that, she turned to Lan Yuanzheng. "Leave two squads behind to watch these motorcycles. Once the tow trucks arrive, haul them all away. We’re leaving—continue the patrol!"

Lan Yuanzheng acknowledged the order and went to make arrangements as Han Yan headed toward her patrol vehicle. Before climbing in, she cast one more meaningful look at Hua Tianyu. To her surprise, she saw him waving goodbye, still holding the phone with the QR code displayed.

Han Yan snorted in anger, climbed into the car, and before even shifting gears, she slammed her foot onto the accelerator.

"Vroom!" The engine let out a roar, but the car didn't budge. Fan Fu, sitting in the back, trembled, not daring to utter a word, and silently buckled his seatbelt.

Watching Han Yan drive off, Hua Tianyu turned to leave with Lin Lin and Tian Li, but Che Peiqing called out to him.

"Hua Tianyu, you mentioned another race. Is that still happening?" Che Peiqing asked.

"Of course."

"But our motorcycles are all gone. How are we supposed to race?"

Hua Tianyu thought for a moment and asked, "Do you know how to drive a race car?"

"A race car?" Che Peiqing paused, his heart leaping with joy. Perhaps this Hua Tianyu didn't know his history; before he ever touched a motorcycle, he had been a race car driver. He had only switched to motorcycles because he found them more exciting. Racing was his original craft!

"Fine! A race it is!" Che Peiqing agreed readily.

"One week from now, at the Car God Racing Club in the suburbs. That way, we won't have these officers interfering. How about it?" Hua Tianyu proposed the time and place.

"Agreed! It's a deal!" Che Peiqing nodded.

Although he was badly bruised today, his safety gear had held up, and he hadn't suffered any head injuries. A week was more than enough time to recover. He refused to believe that someone who excelled at motorcycle racing would be just as skilled at driving a race car. He would definitely turn the tables next time!

The conversation between Hua Tianyu and Che Peiqing reached the ears of Qiu Jinghao, who was standing nearby. His eyes narrowed, and a flash of malice crossed his gaze. *The Car God Racing Club in a week? You probably don't know this, Hua Tianyu, but the Qiu family is the majority shareholder of that club! If you're racing at my club, won't I be able to destroy you in a matter of minutes? Hua Tianyu, you've walked right into a trap. I couldn't stop you even if I wanted to!*

In the end, all the motorcycles of the Chechi Club were confiscated, but at least everyone was unharmed. After completing the paperwork and leaving their contact information, the group dispersed. Hua Tianyu took Lin Lin and Tian Li back to Jinhai Gardens. From this night on, the entanglement between Tian Li and the Chechi Club was officially over; Che Peiqing had personally promised that Tian Li would have no further ties to them.

Back home, Tian Li was the happiest of them all, and Hua Tianyu’s image in her heart grew even more heroic.

Lin Lin, however, pulled Tian Li aside and whispered conspiratorially, "I finally understand why you didn't want to ride on the back of his motorcycle!"

Tian Li felt a jolt of panic—had her secret been exposed? That would be humiliating!

But then she heard Lin Lin say, "Brother Tian drives like a madman! When we were turning, the only reason I didn't fall off was pure luck. I don't think I can guarantee I’ll stay on next time!"

Tian Li breathed a sigh of relief. *Thank goodness!*

"Exactly, exactly! I was just too terrified, that's why I didn't want to ride!" Tian Li replied, mixing truth with fiction.

"I just thought of something," Lin Lin said thoughtfully.

"What is it?" Tian Li asked.

Lin Lin glanced at Hua Tianyu, who was sitting on the sofa, and recalled the heart-stopping experience of the race. "Next time we race—even if it's not a motorcycle—I don't think I want to sit next to him!"

Tian Li replied awkwardly, "I don't think I want to sit next to him either..."
