Chapter 104: A Clash of Titans!
“What?!”
Hearing Qin Mu’s words, Luo Song’s heart immediately surged with turbulent waves.
Luo Song had broken through two realms at once—was this thanks to Qin Mu?
“The poison I placed on Luo Song—did you also neutralize it?”
Seeing Qin Mu remain silent, Luo Song seemed to have guessed the truth, yet he refused to believe it.
“Impossible! My poison penetrated to the marrow, colorless and invisible, entwining the internal organs. How could you possibly have undone it?”
Xu Feng’s voice was hoarse as he questioned, blood continuously coughing out from his mouth.
But instead of answering, Qin Mu coldly looked at him and said, “Twenty years ago, the Jiang Alliance incident stirred controversy. Naturally, some who could not stand by took a stand for her.”
“The Xie family saw them as obstacles. You were the one who secretly eliminated them, weren’t you?”
“Counting those killed or crippled, a total of sixteen enterprises were wiped out by you, all absorbed by the Xie family and the Jiang Alliance.”
“Am I right?”
“All this information has long been sealed by the Jiang Alliance. How… how could you know!”
Xu Feng roared, unknowingly sealing his own doom.
“Good that you admit it.”
Qin Mu’s face remained expressionless as he stepped down again.
Boom!
Before everyone’s incredulous eyes, an entire floorboard shattered with a resounding crash, and Qin Mu’s foot punched a hole several meters wide.
Xu Feng’s body plummeted to the floor below, causing the security guards stationed there to scream and scatter in panic.
“How dare you kill someone from the Xie family!”
Xie Tingting’s eyes burned with fury. The Xie family had spent over a decade and untold wealth cultivating the enforcer Xu Feng, only for him to perish so worthless—at the hands of an unknown man!
“Do you think your martial prowess allows you to resist the might of the Xie family?”
“Ask Fu Bing behind you—has the Fu family dared to touch the Xie family even once in decades?!”
Fu Bing’s face flushed with embarrassment.
Indeed, Xie Donglin had grown increasingly dominant over the years, bolstered by the Jiang Alliance’s covert backing—the greatest force in Jiang City.
His momentum was clearly surpassing that of the Fu family.
Qin Mu ignored Xie Tingting’s furious screams and instead turned to the assembly of wealthy merchants from across the region, asking, “Now, do you still want me to sign this contract?”
“This…”
“No, no need.”
The analyst wearing gold-rimmed glasses, sensing the situation was spiraling, especially after Qin Mu had openly killed Xu Feng and caused a death, hastily began packing up to leave.
Returning empty-handed meant only enduring Xie Donglin’s scolding.
“Yes, yes, we’ll be leaving for now. Please continue.”
Zhang Zizhe discreetly signaled the middle-aged woman beside him to help him escape quickly.
But before they could rise, Wu Mu stepped forward and blocked their way with one hand.
“What? Do you intend to forcibly detain us? Do you know that’s illegal?!” the man with the gold-rimmed glasses scolded Wu Mu, relying on his limited knowledge.
Wu Mu chuckled, “Leave? Of course you’ll leave.”
“But first, everyone’s coming with me—to the station for a cup of tea.”
“What do you mean?!”
The crowd froze as Wu Mu pulled several documents from a folder and laid them before them.
Everyone’s eyes fixed on the papers and immediately fell blank, stunned beyond words.
“You are all young and promising, having risen to be major merchants in just a decade or so. I’m sure over the years, you’ve engaged in tax evasion, cheating partners, and breaking laws.”
“Please, come with me.”
With that, Wu Mu, seeing the group hesitate, abruptly slammed his palm on the conference table, causing a loud bang.
“You scum dare to talk about law? The heinous things you’ve done are enough to keep you in prison for life!”
“Miss Xie, please save me!”
“Yes! We’re working for the Xie family! You can’t just let us die!”
“Get lost! You came here on your own, trying to divide White Emperor City. What does that have to do with me or my Xie family?”
Xie Tingting hastily distanced herself.
Her arch-enemy stood just a dozen meters away! Taking responsibility for these people now was suicide!
Wu Mu signaled Luo Song, and together they seized those stubbornly refusing to leave, one by one tossing them down the stairs.
Soon, the entire conference room was emptied, with only Xie Tingting left on her side.
Once arrogant and brazen, having even sought to purchase White Emperor City for a hundred million, Xie Tingting now sat alone, pitifully weak.
Fu Bing found it hard to believe; the once proud and imperious Xie Tingting was now so utterly isolated and helpless.
And all because of this young man before them!
“What… what do you want?”
“Are you going to kill me?”
After a long silence, tortured under Qin Mu’s gaze, Xie Tingting’s dry throat barely managed to force out two words.
“You’re not meant to die yet. I want you to deliver a message.”
“White Emperor City will officially open in a few days.”
Qin Mu spoke softly.
“And what does that have to do with me?”
At this point, she no longer dared to move against White Emperor City.
For some unknown reason, Qin Mu seemed to regard it with special importance.
“When the time comes, the owner of White Emperor City will bear her name.”
Xie Tingting’s heart leapt at those words.
She knew exactly who “she” referred to.
“You’re insane!”
“How dare you hang that name?”
Only now did Xie Tingting realize that the rumored person who would rename the owner of White Emperor City was none other than Qin Mu.
“You’re making an enemy of the entire Jiang Alliance!”
Without hesitation, Xie Tingting invoked the name of the Jiang Alliance.
No matter how arrogant Qin Mu was, he should stop now—no one could withstand the wrath of the entire Jiang Alliance!
But unexpectedly, Qin Mu did not respond hastily.
Turning his back, he took Fu Bing and descended the stairs.
It was only when he was nearly out of Xie Tingting’s sight that he slowly called out one sentence.
