Your Highness, Please Don’t Be Like This The Divine Power of Dagen 3109 words 2026-03-27 01:52:57

The next morning, long before dawn, Louis, who had been sound asleep, suddenly scrambled out of bed in a flurry, grabbed some clothes, and instantly teleported back to his own room. The three young ladies watched him in utter confusion.

Just as Stuart had warned him in a dream, when Louis returned to his suite, he found Helen already there in her pajamas, pacing back and forth with her hands behind her back. She was chatting with Stuart in the living room.

As Louis slipped on his shirt, yawning, Helen said, “Hurry up and get ready, Louis. Sister said she’s taking the train and will arrive at seven. Also, Yingling and Lilith are coming.”

“Oh.” Louis rubbed his eyes, glanced at the clock, and then covered his face in disbelief. “Helen, didn’t you come way too early? It’s only four o’clock!”

“I’m just excited. Sister is coming today, and I’m worried you lazybones would oversleep again,” Helen said leisurely as she floated out of the room to change her clothes. “Make sure to wash up quickly.”

Her words made Louis feel a twinge of guilt. He had promised to spend time with Helen, but aside from handling official matters, he’d only helped clean the room with Osiris’s friends.

Sensing his owner’s guilt, Stuart ingratiatingly said, “Master, you’re doing the right thing. Once Her Highness arrives today, you won’t have time to accompany her friends—they are all important supporters.”

“Is that really okay, Stuart?” Louis asked.

“Of course. I’ve already consulted the Magic Mirror for you,” the grand eunuch Stuart smiled at his master. “You will meet ‘one god, two emperors, three dragons, four dukes, five queens, and seventy-two nobles’ in the future. When you influence these people, you will achieve great success and change the world. Your journey is far from over. For the sake of this world, you must keep forging ahead!”

“Ahem, Stuart, I think you misunderstood me,” Louis patted Stuart gently. “I meant, neglecting Osiris’s friends isn’t quite right. After all, they are her supporters, and she can’t handle them all alone. Each of them has their own agenda and interests. As her teacher’s student, I should help ease her burden.”

Stuart’s mouth twitched slightly.

[It seems I seriously underestimated my boss’s... ahem, level of thinking.]

Yingling had once said that if Osiris wished to reclaim the throne, many people would be needed to carry it. Even if it meant taking extreme measures, it was worth it. But no one could have imagined that, because of the prince in the princess’s fantasies, all those who would carry the throne would turn out to be women!

Soon, Louis finished freshening up and handed Helen over. The two knocked on Kate’s door but found no one inside. Looking out the window, they saw Kate downstairs talking with two Dragon Clan ladies near the parking permits.

Kate had changed into a new outfit today, complemented by a wide-brimmed hat and elegant high heels that made her look taller, outshining the other female celebrities passing by.

The two Dragon Clan ladies wore suits with small felt hats atop their heads. Over their shirts, they had holsters strapped, looking remarkably dashing.

One of the Dragon Clan ladies stood with her hands on her hips, revealing a gleaming revolver. Her gaze was fierce, and when some passing crew members curiously glanced at her—“White Dragonborn! So rare! Which crew do they belong to?”—the Dragonborn shot them a glare, scaring them into lowering their heads and walking away. These were not mere extras; they were real enforcers.

The other Dragon Clan lady had one foot on the flower bed, her felt hat tilted sideways, smoking a cigar and eyeing the passersby with a sideways glance that kept everyone at a distance.

Were these the two obedient little kittens from last night?

Louis was speechless, thinking he must have mistaken them for someone else.

“So cool,” Helen’s eyes sparkled as she pointed to the scene outside the corridor window. “Are those Mr. Archie’s bodyguards? I think I saw them last night. I want to play with those two sisters.”

“Yes, Strog and Count Crowley are cooperating, so these ladies might have been hired by Kate from Strog,” Louis said with a peculiar expression.

Kate wouldn’t possibly be sending them to Osiris, would she?!

Archie had been staying at the Royal Hotel recently, and many Dragonborn and vehicles were gathered there.

Before long, the two Dragon Clan ladies drove out in a shiny gray vintage Beetle, seemingly off on business.

Kate looked up and saw Louis and Helen watching from the window. She smiled and waved them down, signaling for them to come downstairs and join her to pick up Osiris.

“Such good friends. I wonder how long it’s been since they last met,” Louis smiled warmly.

“Oh, by the way, Helen just said that Yingling and Lilith will be coming too?”

“That’s right, Master,” Stuart suddenly remembered something. “Mr. Archie told you to wait for him at the hotel today. He went to handle the ‘Child of Landt’ matter this morning. The latest news should come by noon. He probably plans to take you there to have a look.”

Louis nodded, curious about the Child of Landt. With the birthday celebration approaching, it was better to take a look in advance.

[What about Bach and Jerry?] Louis asked as they headed downstairs.

[They’ve returned to the association. By the way, Master, a temporary branch has been established in Blackhorn Alley. Our people have already infiltrated various departments of the Ministry of Magic. I heard Eagle will be coming today on official business—also heading to the Wizards’ Association. I have briefed him on everything.] Stuart replied.

“Good.”

Currently, twelve Black Wizards mostly remained at the temporary branch in Blackhorn Alley. Kevin was trying to arrange new identities for them, dispersing them across different departments and locations within the Ministry of Magic.

After a brief chat, Louis led the others downstairs where Kate awaited by the car. Once inside, Stuart took the front passenger seat, while Helen and Kate chattered in the back.

Soon, they arrived at the train station.

Louis had expected royal attendants to welcome the princess upon her return, but none appeared. The scene was somewhat subdued.

However, a crowd of reporters had gathered at the entrance—Wallace’s men were even more formidable than the intelligence agency’s, adding considerable liveliness to the scene.

“Should we drive them away, Master?” Stuart asked.

“No need. Osiris likes this,” Louis said. “I bet she’ll purposely dress down and stroll past the cameras.”

Shortly after seven, amidst the crowd at the station, they spotted Osiris.

She wore a beige turtleneck trench coat, flesh-colored thigh-high stockings beneath her skirt, leather boots, sunglasses, and a felt hat.

This outfit was relatively low-key—though nowadays, even celebrities dressed like this!

Yet the beautiful princess stood out no matter how she dressed.

She also pulled a sizable luggage cart, piled high with bags—clearly bringing a lot of belongings.

Passersby marveled at her strength; reporters swarmed around her.

Louis blinked in surprise—did she have a storage pouch? How many outfits and high heels did she bring? Was she moving her entire wardrobe?

Come to think of it, he’d never really noticed how strong she was—who pays attention to a wizard’s strength?

Her Dragonborn bloodline was no sham. Perhaps her ranking in the Unflower Q wasn’t just due to magic.

[Hmph, you’ve seen my strength now. Don’t think you’re the only strong one.] Louis sighed silently.

It seemed Helen’s recent streaming of his hammer-shadow magic had left Osiris nostalgic.

She wanted to reclaim a bit of everything—so childish.

Osiris and Kate hadn’t seen each other in five or six years, and they had both changed quite a bit.

Osiris initially felt awkward, not knowing what to say. But when Kate suddenly embraced her and wiped away her tears, Osiris also brushed away her own. The childhood warmth instantly returned.

Just as Louis was feeling sentimental, he noticed two more figures behind Osiris—Yingling and Lilith!

Yingling wore a beige Peter Pan collar top and a matching pencil skirt, with flesh-colored stockings. A slim black belt accentuated her perfect curves. On her head was a small, helmet-like beige hat. She wore beige leather gloves and was lightly puffing on a cigarette, coldly sizing Louis up from head to toe.

Lilith dressed similarly to her sister, with a slightly different style Louis couldn’t quite place, but both were clearly clad in the most fashionable attire of the era.

Unlike her sister, Lilith was discreetly batting her eyelashes at Louis.
