Chapter 106: Kidnapping

She had too much to drink. After dancing for a while, she felt a bit drained. Hong Chen poured himself a glass of red wine, took a sip, and smiled faintly while explaining, “It’s nothing.”

“Get lost! You’re a beast in human form, a scumbag!” Cao Renjie suddenly exploded, rushing forward to grab Hong Chen’s collar and roared, “What did you do to Jiang Ying? Say it!”

Hong Chen frowned and pointed at his hand. “Let go. I only danced with Jiang Ying.”

“You’re talking nonsense!” Cao Renjie’s anger surged. Just as he was about to throw a punch, Jiang Ji Wen and Xu Le quickly held him back. At that moment, Jiang Ying, who had been half-asleep on the sofa, suddenly sat up straight, looking around in confusion. “What’s going on?”

Cao Renjie broke free from Xu Le, pointed at Hong Chen’s nose, and said furiously, “You and I, we’ll settle this outside. We’ll explain in front of Jiang Ying what you did to her. I won’t let you off!”

Hong Chen looked at his ferocious face from anger, then at Jiang Ying’s icy expression. He nodded. “Okay, let’s go outside and talk.”

Xu Le and Jiang Ji Wen wanted to follow, but Cao Renjie glared at them fiercely. “Jiang Ying is my girlfriend. This is between me and him. You stay out of this.”

Jiang Ying frowned slightly, seeing that Cao Renjie was truly angry. She subtly shook her head at Jiang Ji Wen. Jiang Ji Wen didn’t insist on following. Xu Le stayed behind after Hong Chen shook his head.

The three walked to the outside of the bar. To avoid random people entering or exiting, they walked along the artificial lake toward the deeper part of the park.

After walking a long way, seeing Cao Renjie still not stopping, Jiang Ying said, “Renjie, there’s no one around. Let’s do it here.”

Cao Renjie silently nodded, stopped, and didn’t rush to speak. He picked up a stone from the ground and threw it into the lake as if venting his anger. The stone bounced on the water surface several times before sinking.

“Hong Chen, what exactly did you do to me...” Jiang Ying thought Cao Renjie was depressed, so she didn’t wait and turned to glare at Hong Chen. Just as she spoke, five figures suddenly flashed from the bushes nearby. Two quickly pinned Jiang Ying down, while the other two held knives to Hong Chen.

The sudden change caused Jiang Ying to turn pale with fear. She cried out in alarm, “Who are you?”

She answered with a cold knife pressed against her neck. The man said sinisterly, “One more word of nonsense and I’ll mutilate you.”

Then Jiang Ying’s mouth was covered with tape, and her hands were bound behind her back. On the other side, Hong Chen hesitated. If he resisted now, the other side might go berserk and hurt Jiang Ying. Jiang Ying was Jiang Tao’s sister; he couldn’t ignore her safety.

So he gave up resistance, allowing them to tape his mouth and tie his hands behind his back.

Then, Hong Chen and the others were each stabbed in the waist with a knife. Led by Cao Renjie, they turned toward the parking lot. Along the way, Jiang Ying’s eyes were wide open staring at Cao Renjie’s back. If eyes could kill, Cao Renjie’s back would be full of holes.

At this point, even if she was stupid, she would understand that Cao Renjie and these people were accomplices, aiming to kidnap!

A few minutes later, at the edge of the parking lot, Cao Renjie turned and walked over, rummaging through Hong Chen’s pockets, finding the SUV keys, and signaling a man with his eyes. The two entered the parking lot. Soon, an SUV and an Iveco van came out. Hong Chen and the others were stuffed into the Iveco van’s trunk.

The two vehicles drove out of the park, heading north, passing several red and green lights. Half an hour later, they entered an abandoned construction site.

After being forced out of the car, Cao Renjie stepped forward and tore the tape off Jiang Ying’s mouth. The tape was stuck well, and after time, Cao Renjie pulled hard, plus Jiang Ying had fair skin.

Jiang Ying felt as if her cheek was being peeled, the pain made her scream, then she angrily shouted, “Cao Renjie, I’m your girlfriend. Whatever I want, you give me. You actually had people kidnap me. Have you lost your conscience? Are you even human?”

Cao Renjie’s handsome face was replaced by coldness. Under the moonlight, he looked like a wronged ghost. He spat and roared, “Jiang Ying, do you have the face to say that? Do you ever see me as your boyfriend? In your eyes, I’m just a pet dog. If I make you happy, I get fed. If not, I get beaten and scolded.”

Then he laughed coldly twice, tone changing: “I was willing to endure it for a while, but you’re too heartless. Don’t think I don’t know. Last week at the racecourse, I didn’t help your brother win the race, so you lost interest in me. If not for needing me to cooperate, I might have been kicked away long ago.”

“Slap!” Jiang Ying glared, eyes as if on fire. This murderous look stimulated Cao Renjie. He raised his hand and slapped, saying fiercely, “If you dare look at me with that gaze again, believe it or not, I’ll make your life worse than death!”

Cao Renjie didn’t hold back. Jiang Ying’s cheek swelled up. Tears welled in her eyes from pain. Cao Renjie seemed not satisfied, raising his hand again. At this moment, a man spoke: “Enough, let’s do the main business.”

Cao Renjie took a deep breath, calmed a bit, and reached into the pocket of Jiang Ying’s dress at her waist, pulling out her phone. Cao Renjie glanced at Jiang Ying’s dazed face and sneered, “Miss Jiang’s status is so noble. If the kidnapping news spreads, especially being kidnapped by six men, your reputation would be ruined. I’m doing this for your own good. As long as you can borrow two billion, you won’t disturb your family, and the kidnapping won’t exist.”

He handed the phone to a man behind him, instructing, “Watch her as she makes calls, don’t let her trick us.”

Jiang Ying’s face changed rapidly. She lowered her gaze and pursed her lips, not speaking.
