Chapter 149: Berserk Martial Arts Academy

“Count Shen is truly kind. And to think he is so young as well—that is something none of us could have imagined,” a young Awakener said.
“Count Shen, could you perhaps guide us in the proper methods of cultivation? If you were willing to teach us, I would be eternally grateful,” another Awakener suggested.
“That’s right, Count Shen. Please give us some guidance. We know how powerful you are.”
“With Count Shen guiding us, we’ll surely become stronger.”
Shen An smiled. “All of you have excellent potential. As long as you cultivate diligently, sooner or later you will reach my level. As for guidance, the only advice I can give you is to cultivate properly. That is all.”
Shen An turned and left. He had not yet fully mastered cultivation himself, so how could he possibly be qualified to guide others? He was well aware of his own limitations.
In the eyes of the Awakeners, however, this became a symbol of the Count’s status.
To them, this was exactly how a Count ought to behave.
“Count Shen is gone. It took us so long to run into him, and unfortunately, he wasn’t able to guide us in cultivation,” one Awakener sighed.
“Heh heh. Just encountering Count Shen is already an incredible stroke of luck, and you still hoped he would personally instruct us? You really are dreaming.”
“That’s right. We’ve all witnessed how powerful Count Shen is. He can smash a tank with just a few casual punches. Tell me, how many Awakeners in Silver City could do something like that?”
“Probably none.”
Outside the Berserk Battle Dojo in Silver City, Shen An arrived.
To avoid attracting too much attention this time, he put away his Count’s insignia. Without that dazzling badge, he naturally drew far fewer eyes.
With a smile on his face, Shen An stepped into the Berserk Battle Dojo.
He had come to test his strength. His punches could now smash a tank, but he had no idea exactly how powerful he had become. Only the dojo’s testing equipment could provide an accurate measurement.
Quite a few people were already training inside the dojo. Among them were several powerful Awakeners, but none of these so-called experts had reached the Third Rank.
They were no match for Shen An.
A smile curled at the corner of Shen An’s mouth. He was certain that the results of this test would astonish even him.
After all, he could feel the power surging through his body. The sheer magnitude of that force made him feel several times stronger than before.
Inside the Berserk Battle Dojo, a young man in a martial robe had just finished training. He wiped the sweat from his forehead with a clean towel. His muscles were powerfully built, and he looked like a formidable fighter.
His name was Zhao Kuangzhan, one of the dojo’s experts. His strength was considerable.
Zhao Kuangzhan happened to notice Shen An. His gaze settled on him, and his brow suddenly furrowed. Shen An was a complete stranger to him.
“Did you sneak in here to fish in troubled waters? This is the Berserk Battle Dojo. How did someone like you get in? Get out of here at once!” Zhao Kuangzhan said coldly.
His shout drew the attention of everyone nearby. One after another, they turned to look, their eyes filled with the excitement of spectators watching a show.
The more dramatically Zhao Kuangzhan stirred things up, the more they seemed to enjoy it.
“Zhao Kuangzhan is angry. He’s one of the dojo’s tyrants. Anyone who provokes him is practically asking to die.”
“How did that young man offend Zhao Kuangzhan? Don’t tell me it’s because of… a woman?”
“As far as I know, Zhao Kuangzhan doesn’t seem particularly interested in women. It probably isn’t over one.”
“Not over a woman? Then what is it?”
“You probably don’t know this, but Zhao Kuangzhan never needs a reason to make a move. If he truly needs one, then it’s simply whether he wants to or not.”
“He’s that domineering?”
The people around them spoke of Zhao Kuangzhan with tremendous fear and respect, as though he were a demon whom no one could afford to offend.
A smug look appeared in Zhao Kuangzhan’s eyes. His reason for stopping Shen An was very simple: he had felt like doing so.
The entire Berserk Battle Dojo was under his control. Everyone else could only lower their voices and humble themselves before him.
“Get out of the Berserk Battle Dojo immediately. This is no place for a weakling like you. Do you understand?” Zhao Kuangzhan said in a low voice.
Shen An turned his gaze toward him. Zhao Kuangzhan’s arrogant, overbearing expression was nauseating.
Shen An had encountered plenty of people like him, but in the end, every one of them had suffered the consequences of their own arrogance.
“I came here to test myself. What the hell does it have to do with you?” Shen An replied coldly.

Shen An’s response made everyone look at him in a new light. Someone actually dared to talk back to Zhao Kuangzhan inside the Berserk Battle Dojo? Was this person not afraid of having his bones broken and his limbs crippled?
“I remember that five days ago, someone offended Zhao Kuangzhan. Guess what happened?” said a man with a small mustache.
His words immediately piqued everyone’s interest.
“What happened?”
“The man who offended Zhao Kuangzhan ended up with all four limbs crippled. He was thrown straight into the river to feed the fish. After all these years, no one has dared to stand up and challenge Zhao Kuangzhan. Everyone understands that provoking him is tantamount to suicide.”
“So that young man is doomed now that he’s offended Zhao Kuangzhan? There’s really no chance for him?”
“Heh. You think you can offend Zhao Kuangzhan and still stay alive? You’re dreaming. At the very least, both his arms and both his legs will be crippled.”
A sharp collective gasp rose from the surrounding crowd. As they stared at Shen An, they felt he was practically courting death.
“Are you going to break both your arms and offer them to me yourself, or do you want me to help you by crippling them?” Zhao Kuangzhan asked.
The encouragement of the surrounding crowd only fed his arrogance, making him feel like the unquestioned ruler of the entire Berserk Battle Dojo.
Shen An smiled, his expression calm. He was a Count of the Grandmaster Council, after all. In Silver City, the Berserk Battle Dojo did not possess nearly the reputation of the Limitless Martial Hall.
Under such circumstances, the dojo’s arrogance was nothing less than digging its own grave.
Shen An said indifferently, “Are you speaking on behalf of yourself, or on behalf of the entire Berserk Battle Dojo?”
Zhao Kuangzhan was slightly taken aback. What did he mean, asking whether he represented himself or the dojo? Whenever he challenged someone, it had always been a personal duel. He had never involved the dojo.
“Hmph. What are you trying to say?” Zhao Kuangzhan asked in a low voice, worried that Shen An was attempting to play word games with him.
“If you represent the dojo, then I will challenge the entire dojo today. If you are speaking only for yourself, that makes things simple. I merely need to cripple you, and the matter will be settled.” Shen An spoke calmly.
