Chapter 132: Delivered in Person
“Oh, so that’s the curator you’re always talking about? Now that you’ve finally seen him, are you happy?” the woman asked with a hint of irritation. Her boyfriend actually seemed unable to stop talking about an old man. Did he even care about her, his girlfriend?
“Sweetheart, look at you, getting jealous over everything. I only think highly of the curator because of his esteemed status. Don’t be angry,” the man coaxed.
“Hmph. Just wait until we get home. I’ll show you how I’m going to punish you.”
The woman was no longer truly angry. In fact, she had only been pretending, wanting to see whether the man really cared about her.
Now that she had received the answer she wanted, she naturally stopped making a fuss.
“But why has the curator of the Silver City Martial Arts Hall come here? And why has he made such a grand entrance?” the man wondered aloud.
“My friend, there’s something you don’t know. The curator of the Silver City Martial Arts Hall only drives this Ferrari with four ones on its license plate when he’s personally receiving an honored guest. It seems the person he’s here to pick up this time must be someone important,” a young man explained.
“Someone important? Who could possibly be important enough to attract the curator of the Silver City Martial Arts Hall? I don’t see any sign of such a person around here.”
The crowd began discussing the matter among themselves.
Just then, the curator of the Silver City Martial Arts Hall arrived beside Shen An. His gaze swept over Shen An, filled with appreciation and respect. He treated Shen An not like a junior, but almost like an old friend.
The curator said to him, “Shen An, I have some good news for you. After you left, it took me quite a while to find you.”
“So you’ve been looking for me all this time? I happened to leave Silver City and spend some time cultivating elsewhere.” After experiencing the cultivation environment at the Silver City Martial Arts Hall, Shen An felt that cultivating outside was far less effective.
Therefore, he intended to avoid cultivating in other places whenever possible. If he wanted to cultivate, he would do so at the martial arts hall.
Everyone nearby was astonished. None of them had guessed that the person the curator of the Silver City Martial Arts Hall was looking for would be a young man.
“What? The person the curator was searching for is actually a young man? He looks about my age. Could it be that the curator wants to take on a new disciple?” a young man said, his eyes filled with envy.
“A new disciple? That can’t be right. I’ve never seen the curator use this special car to pick up an ordinary person. This must be more complicated than simply taking on a disciple. I suspect the young man may be one of his relatives,” another young man said.

“What exactly is this young man capable of, that the curator of the martial arts hall would take a liking to him?”
Everyone was bewildered, and it was no wonder. In their eyes, the difference between Shen An and the curator of the Silver City Martial Arts Hall was simply too great, whether in age or strength.
Of course, that was merely how things appeared to them.
The truth was quite different.
Shen An and the curator conversed with ease, without the slightest awkwardness between them.
They seemed like old friends who had known each other for years.
“What could possibly be important enough for you to come here personally? I’m honestly rather surprised,” Shen An said.
“Haha, it’s nothing major. But to you, it should be wonderful news.”
Shen An was puzzled. He could not imagine what sort of matter could be considered good news to him.
“Good news? What is it?” he asked.
“You still don’t know? After the people from the Grandmaster Council learned about you, they sent you an invitation. I came here especially to deliver it to you. Being invited by the Grandmaster Council is no ordinary honor, Shen An. This could very well be an extraordinarily valuable opportunity for you,” the curator of the Silver City Martial Arts Hall said earnestly.
Shen An took his words seriously. He felt that the man was probably right.
“Perhaps I should go and meet the Grandmaster Council. From the way you speak of it, it seems to be a rather impressive organization.” Shen An’s interest was piqued.
The conversation between Shen An and the curator was overheard by those nearby, leaving them deeply shaken.
Everyone in Silver City knew the status of the curator of the Silver City Martial Arts Hall. Yet this man of such distinguished standing was now chatting and laughing with Shen An as though they were equals.
He had even taken out an invitation. Could he be inviting Shen An to some sort of banquet?
“As I thought, they must be relatives. I told you, how could the curator of the Silver City Martial Arts Hall casually invite someone else?” one person remarked.

“That isn’t necessarily true. Take a careful look at the invitation. It isn’t an ordinary one. It looks like an invitation from the Grandmaster Council. How could this young man have received one?”
Someone had recognized the invitation in the curator’s hand. It was an invitation from the Grandmaster Council, and it was unquestionably precious.
In Silver City, countless Awakened desperately sought the Grandmaster Council’s favor. Yet the council did not even regard them with interest. No matter how talented an Awakened might be, it was extremely difficult to make the Grandmaster Council change its mind.
That was precisely what made the invitation so significant. An ordinary person had absolutely no chance of receiving one.
“My God, an invitation from the Grandmaster Council? What am I looking at? Such an astonishing thing actually exists? Isn’t this what every Awakened person in Silver City dreams of obtaining?” someone exclaimed, fully aware of the invitation’s value.
“This is unbelievable. If I could get one of those invitations, I’d be ecstatic.”
“Stop dreaming. That’s an invitation from the Grandmaster Council. Do you think just anyone can receive one? I’ve heard that even experts in the early stages of the Third Rank have great difficulty obtaining one.”
“He received an invitation from the Grandmaster Council. Could that mean he has already reached the Third Rank?”
“You’re saying someone this young has already reached the Third Rank? That can’t be. How could anyone be that powerful?”
A Third-Rank Awakened at such a young age was an utterly inconceivable existence.
Shen An paid no attention to the voices around him. He simply accepted the invitation handed to him by the curator of the Silver City Martial Arts Hall and said, “I’ll accept this invitation. But may I ask, what exactly is the Grandmaster Council?”
Shen An truly did not know. This was the first time he had ever received an invitation from the Grandmaster Council.
The curator of the Silver City Martial Arts Hall glanced at him and said, “You don’t know about the Grandmaster Council? It is one of the most powerful forces in all of Silver City. Joining the Grandmaster Council is the dream of every Awakened person in Silver City. Congratulations, Shen An. You now have the chance to join the Grandmaster Council.”
