Volume 1, Chapter 29: Taking the Spotlight
Feng Chi stretched his arm, and a long spear materialized in his grasp. As he spun it, a fierce wind howled, and his divine power flickered with a fluorescent glow.
"Stay here, and under no circumstances are you to go down!" Qi Yu instructed the Dragon King and Chu Yuan, then transformed into a streak of golden light, following closely after Ruo Li.
After giving instructions to her subordinates, Sister Lan took out her mobile phone, found an empty room, and dialed a number.
"I don't know what I did wrong; your grandmother just won't let me be." Ah Fa looked at Aunt Zhiyin, who had burst into tears as she spoke.
"Senior, what is wrong?" Lang Hongxiang and the others looked at Xiao Sui in confusion. Lang Hongxiang suddenly sensed that something was amiss; when Chi Yue had heard the name of the Wolf King An, she had worn a similar expression, though it was not as pronounced as Xiao Sui's.
"The Southwest Chamber of Commerce is truly worthy of being the only merchant alliance across the thirteen kingdoms. Every shop here is a precious treasure." Seeing the entire street filled with properties owned by the Southwest Chamber of Commerce, and realizing that each shop specialized in only one type of treasure, Lang Hongxiang and his companions were filled with awe.
Rushing out of the room, Lang Hongxiang’s divine sense immediately swept over a pitch-black demonic beast. It was a beast resembling a giant ox, its pair of horns glinting with a cold light, and its massive pupils, like stars in the night sky, were chilling to the soul.
Zhang Lei fainted upon hearing this, but even that did not change his future fate. From then on, every night, shrill screams could be heard from the newly built martial arts training ground in Wang Family Village.
"Buying a car?" Hong Yu asked, puzzled; she never would have expected Aunt Zhiyin to have such an idea.
"We are all brothers; there is no need for such formalities. If Brother Yao hadn't risked his life to save us, none of us would have survived," Jing Zeming sighed softly and sat cross-legged again to begin healing his wounds.
"Is that so?" Cheng Bai's body was feverish. As a splash of water rippled by, a long, powerful arm pressed against his lean lower back, fingers tracing the beautiful lines of his waist slowly, as if handling a piece of exquisite porcelain, with a touch that was both gentle and appreciative.
"What are you wailing like a banshee for? I thought you were kicking the bucket!" Baili Jiu looked at her with utter disdain, staring down at her from above.
Therefore, when he asked me for money, I didn't hold back and handed him ten yuan. Mainly, it was because he had shared his homemade breakfast with me for a month, which made me feel quite embarrassed.
"Tsk tsk, do you know why I sought you out?" Wang Da seemed to catch the shock in Murong Ye's eyes; he curled his lips, triumphantly waving the dagger in his hand.
Without seeing his old friend, Ye Han did not feel much sorrow in his heart. He was only heading to the Dan Domain; although the Dan Domain was vast, it was still within the Southern Continent, and they would see each other again sooner or later. Thinking of this, Ye Han hesitated no longer and turned to walk toward the first floor.
Seeing the situation before he had entered the door, it seemed they had been arguing about something. Arthur could not be bothered to care and simply stood up a table that had been overturned in the middle of the room.
Filled with a hint of doubt, Arthur looked back. Sana was flustered, inwardly blaming herself.
A burst of giggles erupted around them as those who had been waiting for the spectacle finally got their wish, and the colorful crowd of onlookers perked up.
"Who says you, Second Brother, cannot become the supreme ruler of this world? Cannot shoulder the Yin Dragon Wings?" A voice, even more seductive, drifted from outside the courtyard.
At the stone gate of the tomb, Master Tian had prepared yellow earth mixed with glutinous rice water, which was needed to seal every gap. Once the glutinous rice water dried, it would be seamless and incredibly sturdy.
"Mission accomplished! I'm going to keep eating!" Having said that, Liko carried a plate of rice balls directly into the living room to eat.
As she kissed his lips, *crack*—the mirror shattered, and a face, clear as day, appeared before her.
However, although Li Yang’s plan was sound, the actual result once again far exceeded his expectations.
He also discovered that something else had appeared in his mind—another secret technique. Two lines of text manifested: *Needles grant flesh to white bones; the dead may return to life.* This made him gasp in secret.
"Lie Huo, keep this safe. Wait until October before you undergo the marrow-cleansing and bone-tempering," Kelly said.
Tan Qing pursed her lips, watching Peony’s gentle and soft-spoken demeanor. Suddenly, a sense of crisis arose in her heart. Indeed, there were dangers everywhere in the Yang Mansion. Peony looked like a saintly person, but just based on what she had said to Mother Tan, a warning bell rang in Tan Qing's heart.
Lin Yu grasped the hilt of his sword, and a feeling of being flesh and blood with it emerged in his mind. He did not know if this was an affinity toward the inner demon Lin Yu or toward himself.
Lin Yu handed her a medicinal pill. Yun Qinyan’s eyes brightened upon hearing this, and she accepted it joyfully; a fragrance of herbs wafted to her nose.
The indecisive person ordered one elaborate gown and one simple style, paid the deposit, and agreed to pick them up in a week.
Fu Ning’s figure flickered as he tightly gripped Yan Hong’s tail, leaping over the surging waves. Da Ye and You Jing also dodged this move from Yan Hong at the same time.
