Chapter 11: So Much Fun

Lin Feng couldn’t help but laugh when he saw Cheng Xiangyu’s frightened and horrified expression. “Heh heh, if you want your wound to heal quickly, you should just pull off that sanitary pad.”
He Tiantian chimed in, “Sister Cheng, bear with it. This is a deserted island. There’s no medical gauze to dress wounds; this sanitary pad is the best we’ve got.”
Cheng Xiangyu had initially wanted to tear off the pad, but after hearing this, she reluctantly gave up. Still, the thought that it was something used by a dead person made her uneasy, and she kept muttering "pineapple, pineapple" under her breath.
Lin Feng shook his head in silent disbelief. He figured the evening gown should be dry by now, so he got up, walked over, took it down from the tree, and brought it over.
Seeing this, Cheng Xiangyu screamed in fright, “Lin Feng, why are you bringing that here? Put it away, quick!”
Lin Feng snorted, “Why should I? It’s getting colder at night. I plan to use it as a blanket to keep warm and avoid catching a cold.”
He Tiantian quickly supported him, “Sister Cheng, Lin Feng’s right. The gown has a lot of fabric; it can keep you warm.”
She worried even more that Cheng Xiangyu might catch a cold and die on this deserted island, unable to return to receive her due benefits.
Cheng Xiangyu protested, “But that’s something belonging to a dead person!”
Lin Feng retorted bluntly, “At a time like this, who cares about that?”
Cheng Xiangyu was left speechless and reluctantly shifted aside, staring off in another direction while speeding up her mumbling of "pineapple, pineapple."
He Tiantian silently scolded Lin Feng for being so tactless. Wasn’t he supposed to be more polite to a wealthy young lady like Cheng Xiangyu?
Still, she realized their bickering wasn’t helping and changed the subject. “Sister Cheng, are you sleepy? Do you want to rest while I keep watch, then you can take over later?”
Cheng Xiangyu was too scared and anxious to feel sleepy. Besides, she didn’t want to sleep next to Lin Feng, even though he had proven not to be a scoundrel.
Moreover, he was holding the dead person’s gown, which made her want to keep her distance even more.
She said, “No, I’m not sleepy. You keep sleeping.”
He Tiantian misunderstood her reluctance as fear that Lin Feng might take advantage of her. “Lin Feng, you keep resting. I’ll keep watch with her, then you can take over later.”
“All right!” Lin Feng replied.
He had worked a lot during the day and was both tired and sleepy, eager to rest properly.
So he lay down, covering himself with the evening gown, and soon fell asleep.
He Tiantian stepped out of the treehouse and went to Cheng Xiangyu’s side, continuing to mediate between them. “Sister Cheng, do you have some misunderstanding about Lin Feng?”
Cheng Xiangyu snorted, “There’s no misunderstanding. As soon as I woke up, I saw him lean in to kiss me.”

He Tiantian said, “That was probably him trying to give you mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, right?”
Cheng Xiangyu replied, “Even if that’s true, he hugged me, tried to take off my pants, and assaulted me.”
He Tiantian didn’t believe Lin Feng would do such a thing and shook her head. “Impossible. If he were that kind of person, why hasn’t he made a move on us? And he’s so strong—if he wanted to harm us, we wouldn’t be able to resist.”
Cheng Xiangyu insisted, “I’m not lying. He’s really not a good man.”
At that, she extended her hand. “Look, I have blisters on my hands because he made me work.”
He Tiantian gasped when she saw the blisters. “That bastard, how could he make you do labor?”
Hearing this, Cheng Xiangyu felt even more aggrieved about being made to work by Lin Feng and couldn’t hold back her tears.
“Wah wah... I am the eldest daughter of the prestigious Cheng family of Haicheng. When have I ever suffered like this?”
“When will we be rescued?”
“I don’t want to stay on this damn island for another moment.”
“I want to eat big lobsters, braised pig’s trotters, take hot showers, and sleep on a Tempur-Pedic mattress…”
He Tiantian felt like crying too as she listened to Cheng Xiangyu’s sobbing.
But she clenched her fists, held back her tears, and pulled Cheng Xiangyu into a comforting embrace. “Sister Cheng, don’t worry. We will definitely be rescued. We will…”
Cheng Xiangyu didn’t resist He Tiantian’s hug and rested her head on her shoulder.
The two women embraced by the fire grew closer, exchanging idle chatter here and there.
Lin Feng woke up feeling it was nearly the middle of the night. “You two get some rest. I’ll keep watch from now on.”
With that, he stepped out of the treehouse and sat by the fire.
The two women, now very sleepy, nodded and went inside.
But Cheng Xiangyu saw the evening gown lying there and immediately shivered, her drowsiness fading. “Lin Feng, Lin Feng, quickly, take that away!”
Lin Feng was speechless. “I kindly put it there for you to use as a blanket, and you still reject it?”
He Tiantian, feeling chilly herself and wanting to keep the gown, saw how frightened Cheng Xiangyu was and gave up.
She said, “Lin Feng, you should take it away.”
“Sigh, fine,” Lin Feng sighed and went back to retrieve the gown.

He thought He Tiantian shouldn’t suffer the cold just to accommodate Cheng Xiangyu’s feelings.
So Lin Feng stayed outside the treehouse tending the fire, keeping watch.
Inside, the two women soon found the cold unbearable and tightly embraced each other for warmth.
Cheng Xiangyu kept pulling the torn parts of her dress over herself, even tugging on He Tiantian’s clothes, trying to cover herself with them.
It was like they were fighting over a blanket.
He Tiantian was soon roused fully by Cheng Xiangyu’s restless tossing.
Seeing this, Lin Feng stepped forward, handing over the evening gown. “Use this to cover yourselves.”
He Tiantian hesitated before taking it, glancing at Cheng Xiangyu, clearly not wanting to frighten her.
Lin Feng said, “Hurry up and cover yourselves. If you catch a cold, it’ll be troublesome.”
He had brought the gown over out of concern for their health—he had to work during the day and look after them as well.
He Tiantian thought that made sense. Seeing Cheng Xiangyu sleeping soundly, unaware that the dead person’s gown covered her, she nodded. “Okay, I’ll use it as a blanket, but you have to take it back before she wakes up, so she doesn’t get scared.”
“All right!” Lin Feng agreed, though reluctantly.
If Cheng Xiangyu couldn’t overcome even this small difficulty, she would only be a burden to him.
He Tiantian took the evening gown and lay down beside Cheng Xiangyu, covering them both with it.
Cheng Xiangyu grabbed hold of the gown and pulled most of it over herself, forcing He Tiantian to press tightly against her just to cover a little bit.
Heh heh heh!
Lin Feng watched this and smiled, eagerly anticipating Cheng Xiangyu’s reaction when she woke up and found herself covered by a dead woman’s evening gown—especially since it was covering her so generously.
That was bound to be quite amusing!
