With a large bump on his head, Grel sat on the edge of the bed looking utterly depressed, while Ye Yang stood nearby looking awkward, like a child who had done something wrong.

"I'm really sorry... I thought it was one of my companions playing a prank on me," Ye Yang said through gritted teeth.

He had hit the girl quite hard. Even though he had reined in his strength at the last second, she was just an ordinary human without any supernatural energy. Ye Yang, on the other hand—even if not exceptionally powerful among the hunters—possessed an energy rating well over 600. The angry red swelling on her forehead and her pale complexion said it all.

"Forget it, it's fine," Grel muttered as she got up and walked toward the door. Ye Yang hurriedly accompanied her with a forced smile.

"Aren't you going to ask... what I came here for?" Grel asked suddenly, turning around as she reached the door.

"Uh... Well, you certainly didn't come all this way just to get knocked in the head, and I doubt you've taken a fancy to me and want to offer yourself in marriage," Ye Yang chuckled, scratching his head.

A slender, milk-white finger suddenly lifted his chin, and Grel asked with a mischievous smile, "What if... I really have taken a fancy to you?"

"Huh?" Ye Yang was completely dumbfounded. At that moment, his mind held only one thought: *Damn! Does this place really offer special room service?*

"Why?" That was how Ye Yang phrased his question.

"Choose you?" That was how Grel replied.

Ye Yang nodded. To be honest, he wouldn't mind an adventure like this. Grel was a very pretty girl, seemingly of mixed heritage; her striking face possessed not only the elegance and openness of a Westerner, but also a hint of Eastern charm and coyness. She wasn't very tall, which fit his aesthetic perfectly—a blend of Eastern and Western sensibilities.

What Ye Yang couldn't understand was that they had only known each other for a few hours. Even if Westerners were casual about intimacy, wasn't this a bit too casual?

It felt like two strangers meeting on the street, where the woman casually asks, "Want to get a room?" and the man replies, "Sure...!"

Grel didn't answer. She just smiled faintly, untied the long hair draped behind her neck, and the next moment, her soft, burning lips pressed directly against his.

The kiss wasn't fierce, but it was clinging to the point of obsession. Perhaps it had been too long since he last experienced such skin-to-skin contact; at first Ye Yang was somewhat dazed and at a loss, but soon he sank deep into it, shifting from passive to active.

People of Eastern origin naturally excelled at kissing, let alone an old hand like Ye Yang. The teasing of his tongue drew a soft moan from Grel, and her breathing gradually grew heavier.

When the kiss ended, Grel looked up again, her eyes already filled with fascination and sparkling with pleasant surprise. She had never tasted such a wonderful kiss, especially since Ye Yang looked so remarkably young.

"Just like this... that's it?" The corners of Ye Yang's mouth curved into an indescribable smile. Grel also offered a knowing smile, and the next instant, her body pressed completely into his embrace.

"Why?" Ye Yang repeated his question. He didn't mind a romantic encounter; in fact, during the freezing days, he had fantasized often. He had imagined Chen Yun, Gao Ting, and even Qi Fang when his mind was muddled, but he simply hadn't expected it to be a blonde foreigner.

At the very least, however, he needed to know this woman's motive, or what about him had caught her eye. This was the difference between Easterners and Westerners: Western men often let their lower bodies do the thinking, whereas Eastern men always maintained a measure of rationality.

"You're a good person, truly wonderful. Oh, and I want to thank you on behalf of Lawrence and his wife and daughter," Grel smiled, her hands involuntarily beginning to unbutton Ye Yang's shirt.

"Lawrence?" Ye Yang paused for a moment before realization dawned. Did she mean that big guy who mutated and whom he had killed that afternoon?

"Yes, and not just because you didn't abandon him when things got desperate," Grel said with a smile, followed by another lingering kiss. Then she continued, "I think if he had lost control at the very end and harmed his savior, or his wife, or even his child, the guilt would have been agonizing, something he could never have forgiven himself for."

"Hmm..." Ye Yang nodded noncommittally, though his gaze inadvertently caught a trace of moisture at the corner of the woman's eye.

"Is he your...?" Ye Yang asked with a frown. Older brother? Friend? Secret lover?

"No," Grel shook her head. "It's just that his fate was the same as my father's. The only difference was that the one who refused to leave him behind, even unto death, was my mother, and in the end, there was no one around to stop him in time. I imagine... even if he made it to heaven, he would blame himself endlessly."

Ye Yang fell silent. Although Grel hadn't explained everything in detail, he had roughly pieced it together. Her father had been bitten and infected, and her mother had refused to abandon him, only to be killed by her father after he turned into a zombie? That truly was a tragic and deeply ironic situation.

What role had Grel played in all of this? She hadn't said, but Ye Yang understood that she must have been the one who suffered the most.

Suddenly, Ye Yang felt an indescribable surge of pity for this blonde woman he had only known for a few hours. He said nothing more, wrapped his arms around Grel's waist, and pressed his lips deeply against hers once again. As his fingers danced swiftly, the thin layer of clothing gradually slipped to the floor...

Inside the bedroom, slightly ragged breathing and involuntary soft moans intertwined in harmony.

The door creaked open for the second time, and three large heads poked in: "Brother Ye?" It was Sang Shi's voice.

"Get out!" Ye Yang snapped in a low voice.

*Thud.* The door closed obediently. Outside, Sang Shi patted his chest frantically and said, "That was close, almost... Brother Ye is so fierce."

A strange wave of laughter erupted. Lin Xiaotian and Tang Xiaobao exchanged lewd grins, chuckling obscenely.

"As expected of Brother Ye, he's seriously awesome! I'm so jealous!!"

"Yeah, yeah, he just got here and immediately hooked up with someone. Sigh... when will we ever get that lucky?"

If knowing a few pretty girls in Class C made someone a big shot, then picking up a foreign beauty right after arriving in Milan made one a legend! Although Ye Yang hadn't initiated it, it didn't diminish the worship in the hearts of these two wretched punks in the slightest.

Early in the morning, Ye Yang was awakened by a glare of harsh light. He rubbed his eyes and realized he had forgotten to draw the curtains last night. But then again... this was the hundredth floor of a skyscraper; surely no one was spying on them, right?

Grel was still sleeping soundly in his arms. Ye Yang couldn't help but carefully study the beauty against his chest, as memories of the previous night's madness involuntarily flooded his mind.

Grel was truly stunning. Her facial features were bold yet delicate, combining the best traits of both Eastern and Western women—especially her lips and waist, which were soft to the point of breathlessness. Unable to resist, Ye Yang lowered his head and planted one more deep kiss.

"Mmm..." The blonde beauty in his arms seemed to have been disturbed. She opened her sleep-heavy eyes and waved a hand impatiently. Her adorable, childish pout put Ye Yang in a fantastic mood, drawing an involuntary smile.

"Daybreak? Oh... no." Grel's expression shifted. She scrambled out of bed in a hurry and began putting her clothes back on. She had a lot on her plate and many arrangements to make. And last night... clearly, things had gotten too intense; she hadn't expected an Eastern youth to allow her to sleep so soundly.

Grel didn't know, and neither did Ye Yang, that a hunter's physique was fundamentally different from an ordinary person's. This difference naturally extended to *certain* aspects, and Ye Yang's body had evolved even more ridiculously due to his unique circumstances.

And this was only the early stage of his evolution. If it were any later, Grel probably wouldn't even have been able to get out of bed.

Watching the woman hurriedly dress, Ye Yang didn't try to stop her. This was what they called a clandestine affair—naturally, it couldn't be broadcast to too many people, especially the girls traveling with him. Although Ye Yang had no intentions toward them, word getting out wouldn't look good... it would severely damage his innocent image.

Still, last night... it seemed a few bastards had seen them. He would definitely have to give those guys a warning.

Soon finished tidying up, Grel offered one final lingering kiss before leaving the room with a beaming smile. Five seconds—barely five seconds later—Ye Yang's door was burst open with a bang, and the three little guys crowded in, scrambling for space.

"Brother Ye... teach your brother a trick, help a brother out..." Lin Xiaotian lunged forward with a lewd grin, followed closely by Tang Xiaobao and Sang Shi.

"You guys..." Ye Yang sighed helplessly. Looking at their bloodshot eyes, chances were they hadn't slept a wink all night. Chances were they had their ears pressed against the wall too!

"Huh? You're all up so early?" Ling Fengyan's voice came from outside the hallway. "Get ready, everyone! The joint training is about to start!"

"Oh..." Tang Xiaobao and Lin Xiaotian muttered with looks of utter frustration. They hadn't managed to extract Ye Yang's secret yet, but there was no rush.

"Ye-zi, last night..." Sang Shi started, looking as if he had something on his mind but hesitated to speak.

"What?" Ye Yang chuckled. "You guys heard and saw everything, right?"

"Yeah," Sang Shi nodded, frowning before continuing, "Do you like this foreign woman? Aren't you into..."

"Not really love," Ye Yang shook his head. "I know what you want to say, but Westerners don't take these things too seriously. A casual romance is as common as everyday life to them, and... sigh, you're overthinking it."

"Oh..." Sang Shi nodded, but Ye Yang could see his eyes were still filled with struggle. He probably still didn't understand.

Ye Yang knew what was bothering Sang Shi; he was referring to Chen Yun. Sang Shi had long since realized that he and Chen Yun had mutual feelings for each other. But as Ye Yang had said, this kid was simply too honest—as long as their relationship wasn't officially defined, everything was still up for grabs.

Still... Ye Yang couldn't help considering another possibility. If Chen Yun had made things official before he left, would he have been able to exercise self-restraint? Facing Grel's temptation... it was hard to say.

After all, he had suppressed himself for far too long, and Grel was the kind of woman no normal man could refuse.
