Ye Nan took the remaining weapons with him.

After driving the Hummer away from the repair shop, he immediately stored all the weapons inside the Thunder Tower. Only then did he feel somewhat at ease.

Ye Nan did not return directly. Instead, he went to Safe House No. 2—the one where Liu Yue was staying.

When he arrived outside the shopping mall, everything appeared normal. It seemed Liu Yue was safe.

Ye Nan killed several zombies along the way and arrived outside the safe house, where he knocked on the door.

Through the surveillance camera, Liu Yue saw that it was Ye Nan and immediately opened the door for him.

“Well? Have you missed me?” Ye Nan asked with a grin.

Liu Yue snorted. “Who missed you? You’re flattering yourself.”

“Since you don’t miss me, I’ll leave, then.”

As he spoke, he pretended to turn away.

Liu Yue grabbed him and casually shut the safe-house door behind him. Raising an eyebrow, she said, “You’ve already come all this way. Why are you leaving? Do you really think I don’t know what you’re up to?”

“What am I up to?” Ye Nan asked.

“Hmph. Don’t play dumb.”

Ye Nan leaned close to her ear and gently breathed warm air against it. “You know what I want, and I know what you want. So what are we waiting for? A moment of passion is worth a thousand pieces of gold.”

“You!” Liu Yue glared fiercely at him, her expression full of seductive charm.

Ye Nan ignored her protests, swept her up in his arms, and carried her to the bed.

“Hey! Stop that!” Liu Yue pushed against him.

“I understand now,” Ye Nan teased. “You must dislike what you’re wearing. Fine, fine. I’ll help you change into something prettier.”

He searched through the wardrobe and soon brought out a sexy off-the-shoulder cheongsam, a set of black silk lace lingerie, and a pair of sheer stockings.

At the sight of them, Liu Yue’s face flushed. She felt both embarrassed and irritated, but she could not resist Ye Nan and eventually let him have his way.

With a long sigh, Liu Yue changed into the clothes, her face filled with reproachful resentment.

Seeing her looking so alluring, especially with that mature charm of hers, Ye Nan felt as though she were a ripe pomegranate, radiating temptation from every inch of her.

His blood ran hot, and he could no longer hold himself back.

…

Afterward, Ye Nan lay on the bed, holding Liu Yue in his arms.

Her face was still flushed, and she seemed to be savoring the experience. “You’re so rough every time. It’s as if you’ve never seen a woman before.”

“I don’t know why,” Ye Nan replied. “Every time I see you, I can barely control myself. Perhaps you’re simply too charming.”

Liu Yue was secretly delighted by his words. “Why did you come to see me? I refuse to believe you came only for this.”

“I managed to acquire a batch of weapons, so I brought some over for you. There are pistols, ammunition, grenades, bulletproof vests, and more. With these things, you’ll be safer here.”

“My God, did I hear that correctly? You even have grenades?” Liu Yue stared at Ye Nan in disbelief.

“Of course. Look.”

Ye Nan got up, opened the door to the tower, and took out a supply of weapons.

Liu Yue cried out in surprise. “They’re real! You weren’t lying to me after all.”

She picked up a grenade and examined it carefully. Just as Ye Nan had said, with these weapons, she would have a chance of fighting not only ordinary survivors but perhaps even ability users.

The more Liu Yue looked at the weapons, the more she liked them—and the more favorably she regarded Ye Nan.

In the apocalypse, having a powerful man like him was an incredible blessing.

Ye Nan spent some time teaching Liu Yue how to use the weapons, and she quickly learned.

After saying goodbye to Liu Yue, Ye Nan returned to the residential complex.

As soon as he reached the villa district, he noticed a large crowd gathered together, moving back and forth between several stalls.

Somewhat surprised, Ye Nan approached and discovered that they were exchanging supplies.

It made sense. Ye Nan had cleared every zombie out of the villa district. The neighborhood now resembled the peaceful days before the apocalypse, and zombies were rarely seen anymore. Only in inconspicuous corners of the stairwells might one suddenly appear. Most of them had already been killed by the survivors working together.

“A luxury watch in exchange for a loaf of bread or a packet of instant noodles.”

“Can anyone give me a bottle of water? I’ll trade my computer for it.”

“I’m begging for food. Anything edible will do. Name your price—I’ll trade whatever I have.”

It seemed that after several days of the apocalypse, everyone had become considerably wiser. They now understood how to barter in order to meet their various needs.

Ye Nan glanced around, but his interest quickly faded. He already had both food and weapons, so there was no reason for him to trade with anyone.

Just as Ye Nan was about to leave, he saw Peach Sister Su Tao and the bespectacled man arrive in the area. Auntie Wang and Uncle Lin were following behind them.

The moment Auntie Wang and Uncle Lin saw Ye Nan, they exploded with rage, wishing they could tear him to pieces.

They still harbored a grudge over what had happened on the second floor of the convenience store.

“You little bastard! How dare you show your face? I’m going to kill you today!” Auntie Wang brandished a steel pipe, looking utterly ferocious.

Su Tao and the bespectacled man knew how powerful Ye Nan was. They were just about to stop Auntie Wang, but it was already too late. She charged forward and swung the pipe at Ye Nan.

Ye Nan sneered, effortlessly snatched the pipe away, and kicked Auntie Wang to the ground. The pain brought tears to her eyes.

“Everyone, come look! He’s hitting me! He’s hitting an old woman!” Auntie Wang screamed hysterically.

Everyone turned to look, but no one stepped in to help.

After all, this was the apocalypse. Everyone had learned to be wary, and people generally refused to interfere in matters that did not concern them.

Besides, Auntie Wang already had a terrible reputation in the neighborhood. She often bullied others, and throwing tantrums was practically second nature to her. In peaceful times, people might have tolerated her. But in the apocalypse, they almost wished Ye Nan would beat her to death.

Clap, clap, clap!

A plump woman nearby began applauding excitedly. “You did a great job, young man! That crazy woman used to bully me. Thank you for helping me get revenge.”

Ye Nan smiled. “It was nothing. You’re welcome.”

Auntie Wang flew into another rage. She strained her voice and shouted, “Is there no justice in this world? When this crisis is over, I’ll report you to the police and have you thrown in prison!”

“You’re still threatening me? Looks like you won’t shed a tear until you see the coffin.”

Ye Nan kicked her again, showing no mercy whatsoever.

Auntie Wang let out a terrible scream.

The bespectacled man shouted angrily, “How can you bully an old woman? Do you have no humanity?”

“Humanity?” Ye Nan pointed at himself and roared, “I am humanity itself! You don’t like it? Do you want to fight me too?”

The bespectacled man glared at Ye Nan viciously, but ultimately said nothing. Against Ye Nan’s terrifying strength, how could he possibly be a match?

If he really fought him, he would only be humiliating himself.

The food in the bespectacled man’s home was running low, and he had come out to trade for supplies. After shooting Ye Nan a furious look, he helped Auntie Wang to her feet and took her to set up a stall nearby.

Auntie Wang continued muttering and complaining that the bespectacled man and Su Tao had refused to stand up for her.

Neither of them said anything, but inwardly they were cursing her.

If you hadn’t insisted on provoking him, would he have kicked you to the ground? Besides, he’s an ability user. You expect two ordinary people like us to fight him? That would be no different from seeking death.

As Su Tao listened to Auntie Wang complain, she could not help feeling secretly pleased.

She had disliked Auntie Wang for a long time. The woman often bullied her, and now Su Tao finally felt that she had gotten some of her anger out.

Ye Nan walked over and smiled at Su Tao. “Peach Sister, you really don’t need to trouble yourself by setting up a stall. If you want food, come to Apartment 2001 in Building One. I’ll make sure you eat your fill. Just remember to wear some sexy lingerie when you come.”

Su Tao was still wearing a yoga outfit that day. Her curves were astonishing, as if they might burst through the tight fabric at any moment. Her allure was overwhelming.

The bespectacled man had managed to endure Ye Nan’s treatment of Auntie Wang. But now Ye Nan was trying to seduce his girlfriend, and he could no longer tolerate it.

“Damn it, are you looking to die?” The bespectacled man tightened his grip on his weapon, his heart pounding with nerves. If a fight truly broke out, he knew he would never be Ye Nan’s opponent.

Ye Nan merely smiled and made no move to attack. He said again, “Peach Sister, I’m serious. Instead of following this useless boyfriend around and being bullied by his parents, you’d be better off coming with me. Think it over. My door will always be open to you.”

With that, Ye Nan left and stood nearby to watch the show.

Before the bespectacled man could say anything, three burly men approached, each carrying a long iron rod.

Their lecherous eyes locked onto Su Tao. Their intentions were obvious.

“Your girlfriend is quite something,” one of the three men, a scar-faced thug, said to the bespectacled man. “How about lending her to us for one night? We’ll return her tomorrow. Name your price.”

Another man stared intently at Su Tao’s alluring curves and gave a wicked grin. “This girl has some real flavor. You can tell she practices yoga all the time. That peach-shaped backside of hers… I’d gladly trade ten years of my life for a taste.”

“Heh heh. Looks like we’re in for a good night.”

“Sweetheart, spend the night with us and we’ll give you a proper meal. Can that scrawny boyfriend of yours really satisfy you?”

“Exactly. The three of us are different. We’re all strong and healthy. If one isn’t enough, there are still two more. We’ll make sure you scream for your parents.”

The three men laughed shamelessly, their heated gazes roaming over Su Tao and making her feel sick.

“Get lost! All of you, get lost!” Su Tao waved her weapon and cursed furiously. “Leave now, or I won’t hold back!”

“Oho, a fiery little thing. I like that.”

“You can scream all you want, sweetheart. The louder you scream, the happier I’ll be.”

“Heh heh. I’m telling you, I’ve had plenty of women, but I’ve never had one as exquisite as you. This is going to be wonderful.”

Su Tao’s brow furrowed deeply as she listened to their lewd remarks.

She had known from the beginning that her beauty would bring trouble, which was why she had not wanted to come out and exchange supplies. But Auntie Wang and Uncle Lin had accused her of being lazy, and the argument had forced her to come.

She had no choice but to leave the apartment—and now, just as expected, trouble had found her.

Auntie Wang shouted angrily, “Where did these hooligans come from? How dare you commit such criminal acts! When this disaster is over, I’ll have the neighborhood committee cut off all your benefits!”

“Hahahaha!”

The three men burst into laughter. To Auntie Wang, their laughter sounded especially grating.

“It’s the apocalypse, you old hag. And you’re still talking about the neighborhood committee? What are you smoking?”

“If your brain isn’t working, go see a doctor.”

Smack!

“Ah!”

Auntie Wang screamed as the scar-faced man struck her with his iron rod. Pain contorted her face, and the blow nearly took half her life.

The scar-faced man turned toward the bespectacled man and Uncle Lin. “I’m taking this woman away to have some fun with her. Do you two have any objections?”

The bespectacled man and Uncle Lin glared at him furiously, but neither dared to speak.

The people nearby who had been trading supplies were also filled with anger, yet no one stepped forward to condemn the men. After all, this was the apocalypse, and social order had long since collapsed.

Even if the scar-faced man committed a crime, who would punish him?

In the apocalypse, strength was everything.

Whatever status someone had possessed in peaceful times was now worthless.

When Su Tao saw the two men remain silent, sorrow filled her heart. She tightened her grip on her weapon. No matter what happened, she would never submit. She would never become the plaything of these three disgusting men.

One of the burly men turned to the scar-faced man. “Big Brother, why do we have to take her back to our place? Wouldn’t it be more exciting to do it right here?”

The scar-faced man instantly became excited. He nodded. “That’s a good point. Having other people watch will make it even more thrilling.”

“Heh heh. Great idea.”

“We’re really in for a treat. Look at that bespectacled punk—he looks so miserable. But don’t worry. He’ll be even more miserable in a moment.”

The three men surrounded Su Tao.

She swung her weapon and tried to fight back, but she was a woman, after all. Before long, the three men had subdued her, leaving her powerless to resist.

“Boss, you go first.”

“Sure, sure. I’ll switch with you after I’m finished.”

The scar-faced man wore a lecherous grin as he began removing his clothes.

Su Tao was utterly desperate. Her boyfriend was watching from the side, yet he did not dare say a word. What use was a boyfriend like that?

She began to sob.

Su Tao cried bitterly.

The scar-faced man licked his lips, growing even more excited. He laughed and said, “Don’t cry, beauty. Big Brother will be gentle with you.”

Just as Su Tao was about to lose all hope, Ye Nan’s voice came from nearby.

“Call me Big Brother Nan, and I’ll save you. How about it?”

Su Tao’s eyes lit up. Without the slightest hesitation, she cried out, “Big Brother Nan! Big Brother Nan! Big Brother Nan, hurry and save me!”

“Coming right up.”

Ye Nan stepped forward and faced the three burly men. “Are you going to cripple your own arms and legs, or do you want me to do it for you?”

“Damn it! Where did this piece of trash come from? How dare you interfere in our business? Are you tired of living?”

“With that skinny little body of yours, you dare speak to us like that? You’re looking to die!”

One of the men stepped forward, intending to attack Ye Nan.

Ye Nan showed him no mercy. He summoned the Thunder Sword and drove it straight into the man’s chest. Blood gushed everywhere.

The man died instantly, collapsing to the ground without another breath.

Everyone at the scene was stunned.

They had thought the three burly men were already formidable, but Ye Nan was even more terrifying. He had killed one of them with a single move. What an extraordinary man.

“So you know how to fight after all. I underestimated you,” the scar-faced man said with a vicious grin. “You dared to kill my brother. I have to admit, you’ve got some skill.”

He sneered. “Don’t worry. I won’t let you die easily. I’ll crush your bones one by one.”

“You talk too much. Go to hell.”

Ye Nan took the initiative and thrust his sword forward.

With a sharp burst of sound, the scar-faced man was utterly unable to block the attack. As an ability user, Ye Nan pierced him through with one strike and killed him on the spot.
